On 12 April 2010 current US President convened the nuclear security summit in Washington, a two days event to promote the disarmament and apposing terrorism and seek to line up international support for the US attempts to isolate and pressure the governments of Iran and North Korea. Instead of position of confrontation of Bush administration, Obama tries the trappings of multilateralism and global summitry, hosting the largest gathering of heads of state in US. The aim of this summit was to create the conditions for sanctions against Iran, too threaten North Korea and sustain the US supremacy both in conventional and nuclear weapons and against potential challenges from more formidable powers, like China, Russia.
